The Trump Doctrine of Regime Change — Venezuela, Iran, Cuba, and What Comes Next
Trump just posted “Regime Change!” about Iran — the first time he’s said it explicitly. But if you’ve been watching this channel, you already knew. Because the pattern has been visible across three theaters for four months.
Venezuela: Operation Absolute Resolve. 140 minutes. Maduro captured. 32 Cuban military and intelligence personnel killed protecting him. Delcy Rodríguez installed. Back in business.
Iran: Operation Epic Fury. Military destroyed. Ayatollah killed. Strait of Hormuz blockaded. USNAVCENT extends boarding authority worldwide. And now Trump publicly says: new leaders, regime change, and if they’re smart, a great future.
Cuba: oil cut, shipping blockaded, State Department flies to Havana for the first time in a decade, offers Starlink, tells the Castro grandson it’s over.
Three regimes. Same template. Destroy or isolate the military. Eliminate or neutralize the leadership. Strangle the economy. Then offer the carrot — prosperity, partnership, a future — but only under new management.
The only variable is how much force is required. Iran needed Epic Fury. Venezuela needed 140 minutes. Cuba might only need Marco Rubio and a Starlink router.
This isn’t George W-style regime change that takes 20 years and can’t guarantee an outcome. This is a new American doctrine — and every tyrant on Earth is reading “Regime Change!” with an exclamation point and doing the math.
