Systemics Quarterly Brief · Q1 2026

Caracas, Tehran, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Oslo. All in ninety days.
The first edition of the 2026 series made the case for the publication’s central thesis: America has shifted from a rules-based order to an enforcement-based order. In ninety days the United States captured a sitting head of state, went to war with the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism, convicted a state judge for obstructing federal law enforcement, pressed on with the largest fraud prosecution in Minnesota’s history, and released files that upended careers and criminal investigations on three continents.
We read the quarter as Stages 3 and 4 of the Systemics Disruptive Cycle arriving at once across several domains. The edition introduces the analytical framework subscribers use all year, and it records a signal too often overlooked: the country’s democratic institutions resisted executive overreach at nearly every turn. The prescription for clients was short. Position accordingly.
