Hey there, this is Eric Garland, lifetime intelligence nerd here with a review of an application that is cheap and cheerful, goes on your phone and will help you monitor world situations. And it’s designed by intelligence officers, real guys that worked for the US armed forces. and they have created an application that is super easy to use, automated, and produces crazy insights. The the use of artificial intelligence, you’ve got like 100 to 200 intelligence analysts in your phone at any given time. It’s kind of crazy. And I just want to point out that SITREP by Arttorius is not a company I have anything to do with. I do not get any uh advertising uh monies for this review. It’s just something very cool that I use every day and that I think you might be interested in.
So, let’s let’s give it a look see. So, this is the sitrep app and as you can see goes on your phone. The cool black and green display type uh layout reminds one of uh situation deck or sit deck, which I don’t know if they were all inspired by sitrep here, but hey, why not? Um it’s that kind of thing that makes it seem like you’re uh maybe in the military in the uh in in the the bowels of a submarine and uh you get to track something important. Well, here you are tracking something important. Uh you may not fire a torpedo at it, but uh nevertheless um you get to look at something cool in in in black and green design here. [snorts] Uh their theme, democratizing intelligence. Receive real time and daily intel briefings from cutting edge sources powered by artificial intelligence.
Uh here’s their description of it. What is sitrep? It’s a real time intelligence and security briefing application that provides immediate critical updates on global events. can confirm uh they have new information every few minutes. Uh in fact, it’s constantly updating while while you’re sitting there using it’s like, “Oh, we got more. We got more.” So, if you’re interested in in world events and you have ADHD, I cannot recommend this enough. Uh who is sit designed for? It serves intelligence professionals, journalists, military personnel, and anyone else who needs reliable, timely information about global events. This is important. How does it source its information? They’ve got a combination of AIdriven analysis with human curation drawing from Intel services and reputable oz.
That’s open source intelligence sources to ensure accuracy and reliability. Now, while I’m not paid by these guys, I have talked to them. They are intelligence officers. They know how it’s supposed to be done. So, the style is completely professional. And I think they are very paranoid about making sure they have good sources and that those sources are accurately uh accurately uh represented here. And they cut up automatically whatever uh inputs uh they have for news stories. There’s an impact level that’s determined low, medium, or high, which you’ll show you in the app. And you can receive customized uh alerts here based on countries and regions. Uh where are they based? They’re in the they’re in the United States here, so it’s not being run through Moscow or what’s left of Tyrron.
That’s pretty good stuff. How do they handle um data and privacy? Probably pretty good. What platforms? iOS and Android. How much does it cost? 10 bucks a month. Uh folks, this is cheap and cheerful. 10 bucks a month. So, we’re going to we’re going to just go start playing with this directly. This is sitrep by Artorius and gosh, it’s already got new content available. Please update immediately. Okay, so you see how this is laid out here on your phone. You’ve got you’ve got the globe. Um, anywhere in the world, you can kind of spin it around. Um, by the way, this is running off my iPhone and then mirroring onto my computer. So, the graphics are actually uh they’re very smooth and natural, but they’re also very uh low resource intensity.
Uh they seem to work on any phone and uh has a minimum of glitching. I think this app’s been around about uh a year or so. And you can see at the top here you have um you have all of your updates that are delineated by level of importance. So low-level events, medium level events, and high level highintensity events and can confirm uh they do a pretty good job of deciding that which is life and death and that which is merely interesting. And we’ll show you there how that gets all laid out. Um you have the latest and you have watch list and on your watch list you might have a few countries. In in my settings, I have the watch list um as Canada and Mexico. So, uh if I want to just look at the Monroe Doctrine, I can spin it over and just just the updates here in in Canada and Mexico, I show you.
I click on Mexico. Social development, Mexico to deploy 100,000 security personnel for the World Cup. This is a huge year. We’re at war. The United States is at war both with the cartels and with Iran and with Venezuela to the south. It’s crazy. So, that’s a medium importance news item there for for Mexico. Now, I don’t know about you, but I agree with that. This is something that’s not happening just yet. They’re going to deploy 100,000 security personnel for the 2026 World Cup, which is this summer. Um, important stuff, but not life or death. This is not uh a military strike that happened this weekend or this morning because this is uh this uh it’s noon on Friday, March the 6th when I’m recording this.
This update is from 10:37 a.m. So, this is an hour and a half old. So, the World Cup is going to be this summer in a few months. This video will be up and perhaps that’ll be in the past someday. You can see this is forecasting out 3 four months in advance that there’s going to be a deployment of military personnel, but not yet. So, it’s a medium importance update here. And if I want to back it up here, I can also I can I can zoom into Canada. Well, what’s going on in Canada here? This is a low importance event here. Quebec to table 2026 to 2027 provincial budget on March 18th. Summary: Quebec’s finance minister, Eric Jer, has formally announced that the province’s 2026 to 2027 budget will be presented on March 18th, settling the timeline for the upcoming fiscal and economic plan.
And now this is how they set up uh and and delineate each news story. They the AI cuts up who ar Quebec finance minister government of Quebec the provincial government not the whole Canadian government out of Ottawa what they announced the budget blah blah blah sets a firm date for the release blah blah blah uh location Quebec city because that’s the national Quebec that is the Quebec national capital just up the road from me uh they’ve even got the latitude and longitude in case you’re interested claimed by the moral gaz it. So, this is the source of the data. So, you don’t have to wonder where this all came from. [snorts] Uh, it it’s a major English language daily newspaper based in Montreal, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
And they even have some some basic analysis here. Primary implication of this announcement is the establishment of a clear timeline for the release. So, low intensity here. You if you’re not in Quebec, uh, and you’re not in the local government there, you probably don’t care, but it’s I don’t know, it’s important to someone. Um and the the sit app will actually do some basic implications. The content of the March 18th budget will be a key indicator of the government’s strategy for addressing provincial economic challenges and will be heavily scrutinized by opposition parties and the public. Um this is all automated. This is something that you would need an analyst for to get by just the headline here.
And on sitrep they do it for you. There’s wild stuff here. So, we’re going to take it off the the watch list to the latest and I’m going to set it to all high. So, we’re going to just get the intense stuff. It takes a second to think. Ah, here we go. Okay. So, we got United States, Israel, Iran, China, Uganda, Israel. Well, let’s let’s click on Israel, shall we? Boopy boop. Daily D daily briefing. Okay, what’s going on here? Click on the first story. Military development. Iranian missile launcher capability reportedly degraded by over uh 60%. So, their ability to launch missiles in Iran towards Israel or anyone else is down over 60%. So, significant degradation in not that long. Okay, important stuff here.
Uh and then some they summarize the the news story and assessment indicates that that more than 60% of Iran’s missile launchers have been neutralized with an estimated 100 to 200 launchers remaining operational. This is good stuff, right? I didn’t know how many missile launchers they had in Iran. Apparently have like 700 or so. 60% of them are gone. That leaves us with somewhere between one and 200. Who who is this about? The Iranian military. Okay. What? Same story. Location. This assessment covers launcher assets nationwide and key command and control infrastructures located in the capital tan. When March 6th, that’s the day I’m recording this video. So this is is that updated claimed by Israel Hyam which is one of their newspapers a major Israeli daily national newspaper wide circulation.
In other words, this is a a a broadly accepted as credible source here. It’s not just somebody’s tweet. Historical context. Iran’s ballist ballistic missile and launcher arsenal is a cornerstone of its strategic military doctrine, primarily projecting power and deterring potential adversaries in the region. Now, you would need to employ some militaryra intelligence analysts to spit that out along with your news story. This does it automatically. And that is what having an app made by military intelligence guys, that’s what it does for you here. So analysis, basic analysis, the reported neutralizations of over 60% of launchers, if accurate, represents a significant degradation and they can’t we’re not going to be able to conduct sustained large-scale missile attacks, you know, which they clearly kind of want to do.
So this reduction could alter the street strategic balance in the conflict, blah blah blah blah blah. So that’s your story. That’s just one story. Um, there’s a whole bunch of stuff here under the Israel tab. Geopolitics division uh development. President Trump outlines US criteria for new Iranian leadership. Of course, of great interest to Israel. Okay. Boom. So, we’ll get off of Israel. Oh, at the top of a major country, uh, when you click on the country itself, you can get access to a daily briefing. And at least once a day for some of these countries, sometimes it’s more uh infrequent than that. Uh situp will create a briefing that will generally tell you about what’s going on in the country of interest.
So Gaban, Paraguay, Russia, Israel, um the the more important the country is in geopolitics, the more frequently it’s going to have analysis. Um so here you have 20 hours ago, not quite a day. Uh here’s the update on Israel. A severe escalation in the direct conflict between Iran and Israel has unfolded, marked by a sustained Iranian offensive involving at least eight ballistic missile salvos targeting central Israel since bisnight. Yeah, this is this is what’s going on. This video is being recorded in the middle of the hot shooting war between uh Iran and Israel and the United States. So Israel’s taking a lot of hits there. Something something about Beirut, southern suburbs. And this is a pretty comprehensive automated intelligence report about where Israel sits in the geopolitical balance.
Okay. So, let’s back it up. We’re we’re back here um with the red dots, just the high value stuff. So, I’m assuming we’re going to go to China. Let’s see what Beijing’s got. Okay. Geopolitics development. China reportedly preparing to provide material support to Iran. Boy, uh, this video is going to be recorded. I wonder how it’s going to come out because holy crap, that’s not a good idea. [laughter] The United States is probably going to be pretty cranky about that. Summary: US intelligence suggests China is preparing to provide Iran with financial aid, spare parts, and missile components. Sounds like they’re going to war against us to me. Uh, let’s see. We got the what down location? Beijing.
When? March 6, 2026. The day this is being recorded. claimed by CNN. You guys have all heard of CNN. So, wow. That’s what CNN’s reporting. It’s pretty crazy. Now, let’s back her up. We can drill down into the map so you can see exactly where something is coming from. Though, those red dots tend to be located wherever the capital is. Beijing is the capital. It’s in the north. So that is generally where um where the red dots going to be located. It’s it’s not as geo uh geocensitive as sit deck is drilling down to the exact um village where something happened and where that the the dot will appear in so far as that matters. Um so you have a little you have a search function here with a whole bunch of tags that are already um made for you.
So, economic development, diplomatic relations, crime, law enforcement, uh, foreign policy. Let’s let’s do crime and law enforcement. Click on those and you’ll get a series of c of of countries that will pop up. A new Canada, a new witness in Cardinal Mark ULET’s defamation trial, Ghana’s police have arrested a 23-year-old student for something, Tunisian court. So, you’ve got the tags of crime and law enforcement. Boom. wherever that’s happening 10 minutes ago, 15 minutes ago. So if that’s if that’s your bag, crime and law enforcement, it’ll it’ll run it down for you. Public safety, economic development, economic development is very important, but a little less exciting. One hour ago in Ghana, two hours ago in El Salvador, confirmed in formal vendors in San Salvador’s mayor’s office, blah blah blah.
All good stuff. And you can also search stuff in specific countries or search in the countries themselves. As you can see, Antarctica, no intel. Limited, limited penguin intel out there. It is what it is. But Austria doesn’t pop up in the news every day. Must be something going on there, right? Boopity boop. A lot of low and and medium stuff here. Um, see social development drivers demand refunds over allegedly illegal speed limit in Stagersbach, Austria. Hey, there if there’s no news, there’s still news. You do not have to have a direct conflict with the US armed forces in order for be newsworthy in your country. So Austria, there are people that are complaining about getting pulled over for speeding.
This is what happens in a stable western democracy. This is the the level of stuff that that that happens. It’s okay. That’s fine. Um, and so there you have it. We we back up the whole app to the world here. Let’s do all because it’s nice and pretty and it’ll be full of fun stuff. Suggly wow. And you got green, you’ve got red, you’ve got stuff going on. And that’s it. This uh you know, nine bucks a month, fits in your pocket. Um setrep by Artorius will tell you all sorts of fun stuff. Uh it constantly has new content available. You can see that on the screen right here. Um and it’s a fun toy. You don’t you don’t get that many fun toys out there for strategic level intelligence. And we’ve got a bunch now.
It’s a really great use of AI. And I use this particular app all the time. Download it. Give it a shot. I don’t care. I don’t get paid, but as long as you have fun doing intelligence, that’s what matters. So, thanks for coming here. I’m Eric Garland. This is Game Theory Today with Everything Intelligence. Click like, uh, click subscribe, and what do you look for in an app that uh, helps you do research? Let’s hear about it in the comments, shall we? Thanks so much.
