The actors appear very much, between their language and tattoos, to be from the Russian Mafiya. The content, though, is much more sophisticated. Here, Andrej and Bratan discuss the history of Game Theory as practiced by the RAND Corporation during the Cold War. They borrow from the conclusions drawn from a 1980 colloquium where 300 matches of “Prisoners Dilemma” were played.

The main takeaway for our supposedly Russian friends? That honor and cooperation makes more money than dishonor and distrust–as long as your opponents are punished quickly for wrongdoing.
