US wind power has come a long way in just a decade. While solar power capacity grabs the most headlines, wind power makes an increasing amount of total electricity production that comes from renewable sources.
US electricity generation trend shows more solar
While total demand for electricity generation is more or less stable, the one constant trend we see is the expansion of renewables. The above chart shows that the mix continues to add more significant proportions of solar generation every year. We expect this to accelerate in the years to come.
